Another Booty Contest for the Masses
Sep 1st
Looks like Christmas came early this year! Another booty contest to advertise in such a short period — say it isn’t so? Yes, my kiddies, the quest for a perfect set of buns can never end. And this time Playboy is joining in on the fun :D Check out the screencap for a preview of their oscar-worthy video featuring a bad hip-hop track, the playmates and some gratuitous rump-shaking.

New Blog Announcement, and Cell Phone Plug
Sep 30th
I’ve made another blog to start posting some of the random pictures that I make on my cell phone.
It’s called PhoneDoodles.com, go check it out. And if you have photos that you’d like to have uploaded, you can just email postdoodle {at} gmail {dot} com. As long as it’s not obscene, i’ll post it up there. Keep it PG ;)
If you don’t have a cellphone with a drawing program on it, you can buy my phone model. It’s an LG Dare, and I love it. It has all the right features—touch screen, nice battery life, customizable interface, awesome sound quality, high quality cam (better than my stand-alone in fact). It is not a smart phone, so you don’t get e-mail or any of the smart phone goodies (bloat). But I consider this to be a bonus, because I don’t have to pay for a smartphone data plan. The unlimited internet for regular phones is considerably cheaper, and I access almost all my email/tools online anyway. And of course, there is a built in drawing program for me to kill time with when I am in airport/restroom/long line/etc. Here is a couple pics of my Dare and a link to the LG Dare Review by Phonedog. Sorry the pics are a bit fuzzy, i’m tired and my hands aren’t so steady.

New Favorite Chat Service
Sep 18th
I don’t know about you, but I use IM services for my job quite a bit. Sometimes, it is the only way to reach people while I am sitting in phone conference after phone conference (email requires more concentration). At home, I am quite happy with the Adium chat client—but this is a Mac only program, and I needed to find a good solution for my work machine. I’ve tried pidgin, Trillian, MSN Messenger, and a host of others. I’ve never really been satisfied. So after I got my new work laptop, I went on the prowl for a nice windows chat program. For the last month I’ve been using a service called meebo, and it has been working out great. Some of the features that drew me to this program:
- It allows me to log into all of my accounts, in one fatal swoop.
- It’s web-based, so I don’t have to install any software that litters my machine with dozens of little bloatware programs (looking at you MSN).
- You can download a Firefox Extension for meebo, which gives you the option to automatically login when the browser is started. The extension also adds an optional sidebar login and visual notifications to the browser window.
- The interface is clean and slick. Don’t underestimate this one! There is a banner ad that runs at the bottom of the screen, but it is unobtrusive (still cleaner overall than most other IM services).

NOTE: The Firefox plugin for meebo doesn’t work for Linux users :(
No, it doesn’t have all those ‘neeto’ added features like webcams, voice chat, etc.CORRECTION: Some of these features are available in individual chat windows; It’s just not as intrusive as in the native clients. But I don’t want that… all I need to do is chat. Frankly, I was sick of Yahoo and its several hundred different buttons that I never use. Meebo doesn’t try to be everything , and I like that. If you have a chance, check it out. Let me know how you like it!
Vacations are too short, I wanna go Back!
Jun 8th
Sorry, there haven’t been many updates as of late. We’ve been vacationing/catching up on work/spending times with friends… you know, basically enjoying real life (instead of virtual) for a change. But now we are settling back into our normal schedule — so expect some fresh posts soon.
BTW, San Fran and Napa were wonderful! Check below for a brief synopsis of the trip and photos:
We’ve been to San Francisco many times, so there was some obvious touristy stuff that we just skipped. This time around, we just made it a point to visit a few museums – then stroll around aimlessly, letting our whims guide the way. We tried to get a Segway Tour, but an unfortunate traffic accident on the Golden Gate Bridge made us miss our reservation. We settled for drinks instead.

Here is my favorite set of photos from the trip — this is where we stumbled into Musee Mecanique, a strange little collection of Carnival machines and arcade games from yesteryear. Below, DH is testing his mettle on the “Strong Man Machine”

After a few days in San Fran, we scuttled over to Napa to do the wine train thing (which was delicious, highly recommended). We also checked out downtown Napa and a few wineries. Rombauer Vineyards and the gardens at Frog’s Leap were by far my favorite (as far as facilities go).

In total this was a great trip. Next time, we will have to plan better and spend more than a few days… but i’ll take whatever I can get.
If anyone’s planning a trip in Napa, and looking for a good bed-n-breakfast — I highly recommend the Inn on First. The rooms are great and the owners are very welcoming and well-informed of the area — plus, one of them is a chef (so breakfasts’ are extra yum!)
